Choosing a fabric starts with how the product will be used. The same design becomes a different product in a different fibre.
Cotton
It breathes, is soft and is kind to skin. It is the standard for everyday wear and home textiles. It can shrink and crease in washing.
Polyester
It is durable, dries quickly and keeps its shape. It stands out in sports and active wear. It does not breathe as well as natural fibres, which is why blends are common.
Viscose, modal, Tencel
They give fluid, cool and soft fabrics. They are preferred for fashion and summer products. Their strength when wet is lower than cotton, so care instructions matter.
Blends
A cotton-elastane blend adds stretch and a cotton-polyester blend adds durability. Choose the blend ratio according to the purpose of the product.
