A sample is the example product made before mass production. Measurements, fit, fabric and colour are approved at this stage. A skipped or rushed sample usually turns into mistakes that are expensive to fix in mass production.
1. Brief and tech pack
The product, fabric expectations, quantity and target budget are defined. Drawings and the measurement chart become the tech pack.
2. Pattern
The base size pattern is prepared from the measurements in the tech pack.
3. Sample sewing
The sample is sewn in the chosen fabric. Several fabric alternatives are tried if needed.
4. Fitting and revision
Measurements, fit and details are checked. Notes are carried back into the pattern, and a second sample is made if necessary.
5. Approval and move to mass production
The approved sample becomes the reference for mass production. Grading is done, then cutting and sewing begin.
